Editor in Chief

Rachel McCallister de Abreu

Rachel McCallister de Abreu (she/her) holds a BS in Education from the University of New Mexico and an MPhil in Educational Research from the University of Cambridge. Before law school, she taught special education and nursing sciences for a decade, shaping her passion for accessibility, equity, and inclusion. As a JD student at the University of Windsor, she has been an active member of the community, serving as a three-year representative of the Disability Student Law Society, Co-President of the Old and Wise Law Students of Windsor, Project Manager with Pro Bono Students Canada, and Editor-in-Chief of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. Originally from New Mexico, she is now building a life in Windsor, Ontario, as a new mom. Her legal interests include immigration, tax, estate, employment, and broader social justice issues.

Keren Harrison

Keren Harrison is a 3L at Windsor Law. She is the Executive Director of the Black Inclusion Association, a Calgary-based nonprofit that seeks to structurally elevate Black youth. Community leadership is foundational to Keren’s legal career. She is also a distinguished volunteer, who has dedicated over 350 hours to equity-related community initiatives over the last two years. Keren is especially passionate about improving the experiences of racialized immigrants. Keren holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a second Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Calgary. She also holds a Master of Arts in International Development from the University of Ottawa.

Nick Kinnish

Nick is a third-year student at the University of Windsor’s Faculty of law. Prior to law school, Nick earned a double major in Philosophy & Political Science and a master’s degree in Philosophy.

Nick comes to law with a variety of career experiences ranging from working in the UK music industry to retail management here in Canada. As a passionate cyclist and road safety advocate, he is involved in several projects working towards safer roads for vulnerable road users.

Outside of his studies, Nick can usually be found training on his bike for the next big race he has planned, or volunteering at the community bike shop.

Business Manager

Mo Hussein

Mo Hussain is a 2L JD candidate at Windsor Law and serves as Business Manager of the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues. He previously served as President of the Dual JD Student Bar Association, where he led the most successful class board in program history. Mo has gained legal experience at the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and through advocacy competitions, including being the first Canadian to compete in the New York Law School Soccer Negotiation Competition. His primary interest is corporate law, alongside litigation, advocacy, and academic interests in constitutional, media, technology, and intellectual property law.
